Grace durig her “for-wedding-trip” to Monaco. One of my favourite of her looks. Stylish and fantastically beautiful beyond of time! (Onboard SS Constitution, April 1956)
Today is Grace Birthday. This photo is made near the house on Manhattan where there lived a movie star Grace Kelly, in 1956, after it has been announced engagement of Grace and Prince Rainier III, and shortly before her departure to Monaco for the marriage.
This day in history. Day when Grace has for the first time visited the Monaco Palace and has met the future husband – Prince Rainier.
/Photographed by Edward Quinn/
Grace with her poodle Oliver in the apartment on Manhattan. (I suppose, it is March, 1956 and the photographer – Lisa Larsen).
Grace in her room in hotel during the work on “To Catch a Thief”.
Grace as a bridesmaid at a wedding of the younger sister Lizanne, 1955.
The Oscar Ceremony, 1956. Nearly the last official appearance of Grace on a public action before her wedding.
April, 1956. Onboard SS Constitution during a week of a travel to Monaco. One of (certainly!) cheerful numerous parties. (Presumably, a game in “Envoys”))
This photo was taken during the pre-wedding week in April 1956 (during preparation for shootings of the small movie about the Monaco palace where shortly Grace should lodge forever).
I assume, it is one of (for certain)) the numerous parties which were taking place during shooting of Alfred Hitchcock “To catch the thief”.
(Probably, that the woman sitting in a profile behind the back of Grace is Alma Hitchcock). (???…)
